A number of factors contribute to this wine’s overall harmony. 2022 had a cool pre-season and a moderate ripening period, something the nearly 40-year-old chenin blanc vines appreciated. The consequent good acidity levels resulted in a wine that is
rewardingly ripe but remains fresh, lively and vibrant. Stonefruit typicity can be found on the bouquet as well as in the mouth where the flavours of apricot, nectarine and fig show a lightly honeyed nuance, well tempered by the acid lift. Nothing dominates, so the fruit and texture are complementary and cohesive.
